I actually love moving. I love cleaning everything out, finding a new spot to live, and then making it wonderful. And since the house we're in currently is going on the market (and people will be in it deciding whether or not to buy it), we had extra incentive to declutter now instead of post-move, which is what we did last year in the interest of time (we were such silly kids).
So that's what we've been working on this weekend. Cleaning, decluttering, deciding whether we love certain things enough to move them to a new house. And then we celebrated our achievements and clean house with fruit salad, a bowl of cherries, and a grapefruit yogurt cake.
I promise I'll start a new table runner soon. Or relatively soon. Or whenever. Sometime. You know. But I do realize you're only ever looking at the same colorful hexagons picture after picture!
We also brought the air conditioner up from the basement yesterday. We were risking melting in our sleep and becoming permanently pruned from too many cold showers. And everyone is happier for it...especially Wilbur, who did not appreciate being hot.
Casy leaves for his school trip tomorrow. The boys and I will miss him a lot...probably enough to welcome him back home with some homemade croissants! And maybe a hairball or two.
Love, T.
