Casy and I just got back from our long weekend in Rhode Island to visit Clair...and it was awesome! I'm going to tell you about it in a few posts to break things up a bit.
We arrived late Friday night, then got up early Saturday morning to take a train into Boston.
We ate brunch at a wonderful place called Gaslight. I had scrambled eggs with herbs and cheese over brioche, Casy had a croque madame, and Clair had an omelette Lyonnaise with potatoes and caramelized onions.
Then we walked around.
We went to Copley, Boston Commons, and Harvard (which, in my humble opinion, is rather overrated).
Then we met up with Clair's valentine at his apartment and walked a few blocks to eat dinner at the Cactus Club, which was another delicious meal in Boston.
Finally, with aching feet and a bit of delirium, we took a train back to Providence.
We all love Boston...it's clean, academic and artsy all at once, and full of charm. There are huge, old churches on every street and the whole city oozes with history. Such a fun place.
Next? Pictures from Providence.
Love, T.
