Today was filled with hot cocoa drinking, exploring the snow with Wilbur, and looking forward to our Rhode Island trip this weekend.
I also had my blood drawn this week...hopefully I won't need to do that again for quite awhile! But it needed to be done and now it's over, so I'm happy about that.
Casy is feeling pretty good about work going into this weekend. He really wanted to have his lesson planning done for next week so he could enjoy himself and not be thinking about work while we were in RI...and these two snow days have made that goal easier to reach! His grading is done and now he only has to plan two days tomorrow since they had two days off this week and next Monday is a holiday.
He also got to spend some time in the darkroom this evening...I'll see if I can post some of his pictures once they're done.
I'm almost done reading Someone at a Distance by Dorothy Whipple...and I highly recommend it! It's easy to read, very well written, and such a poignant book...each character is so well developed and it's one of those books that is almost painful to read because it feels so real.
AND I have to tell you...I got the boys a compressed cat nip ball this week. Really. It's a huge hit. Wilbur pulls himself along the floor with his little arms, chasing after this thing and Claude has been batting it around all night. It's a pretty brilliant idea.
Anyway, here's to snow days! I hope you all are staying safe and warm in this weather!
Love, T.
