Down the Shore

Yesterday we went down the shore and it was bliss.

Casy really took to the ocean. Really really.

We made several new friends.

It was sunshine,

waves,

rip currents,

purple shells and snail shells,

salt on your skin,

sand in your hair,

hovering birds,

grassy dunes,

horseshoe crabs...

...abuse from the ocean,

blues, greens, tans,

corn muffins, cheese sticks, boiled eggs, and pretzels,

lifeguard whistles,

sunscreen,

beach plums and bayberry...

...crab shells,

digging with clam shells,

shells, shells, and more shells,

a potential field trip,

seafood for dinner,

and it was wonderful.

Every bit of it.
