{6} Our first Christmas tree together.
{7} St. Nicolas Day. On St. Nicolas eve, children put their shoes out with a note to Saint Nick. In the morning, if you've been good, you can expect to find an orange, some nuts and chocolate, and a little Christmas trinket, like an ornament in your shoes. If you've been bad, you get twigs.
{8} Christmas linens.
{9} Toadstools and greenery.
Well, our weekend made up for whatever our week lacked. This was such a good weekend. We had our first snow...the snow flakes were huge and fluffy and it was just so atmospheric. Our house smelled like pine, Christmas music was playing, snow was falling, and we were sitting around our new...white...coffee table!!!
That's right...Casy Fath went to the furniture store, spoke to someone, and walked out with over $100 and directions to an outlet store that had our table in stock. Then he went and got the darn thing for way cheaper than we would have paid originally. And now it's sitting in our home like it's always been there. Awesome.
Wilbur went out with me to take pictures of the snow. I thought for sure he'd run back in once he noticed the weird white things falling from the sky, but he was actually pretty interested in the whole thing. I guess Wilbur is pretty much always interested in everything. Claude, on the other hand, was inside, curled up on the couch, warm and snug as a bug.
LG and I successfully completed our arthritis walk this morning! We wore the awesome Santa hats that Casy made for us and had a great time walking in the sun and catching up. By the end of it, we were quite warm! Thanks to all who donated!
And finally, Casy got some new shoes this weekend and wanted you to see them. In the first picture, he's showing them to you and in the second, he's singing the New Shoes song that he learned in preschool.
Hope you had a good weekend too!
Love, T.
