Gardening

Right now, I'm typing with dirty fingernails. And dirty jeans. And dirty feet.

Last week, Casy worked hard to build three raised planters in our backyard for our garden. This provided us with 57 square feet of garden to work with...and today we worked with it.

We planted carrots, radishes, edamame, lemon cucumbers, onions, and garlic. Our other sprouts are doing well too, although I'm not sure whether our lettuces and Brussels sprouts will last. They are pretty weak.  But we will definitely have an abundance of tomatoes, cucumbers, beans, and basil! We're using the square foot gardening method to plant.

We ordered a few more plants from Gurney's, including zucchini, peppers, and heirloom tomatoes (Casy's favorite). And Casy's potatoes came in the mail too, so he'll be getting those going pretty soon.

And while we were outside working, we noticed one of our boys trying to ask us something:

Can I come outside with you?

And when we said yes, he was a very happy boy.

On an unrelated note, does anyone know what this plant is?

Love, T.
