When I left last week, our basement was flooded with water, our laundry sink was overflowing from the bottom up, and we hadn't seen the sun in days. Poor Casy was stuck with the overwhelming chore of clearing the water out of the basement and getting it back to being relatively dry while I was in La Jolla taking these pictures.
Not only was I in San Diego to take pictures, but I was also there to learn and to teach. My second day was spent with one of my new favorite people, Des, who took me on a Brush Tour of San Diego. I learned about wildfire behavior, the best construction for wildfires, the different kinds of plants in the area and how they burn, etc. Pretty cool stuff.
Here is a picture of one of our insured's houses. And in case you were wondering, it's a really good brush risk because although it's on a ridge, it has wonderful clearance and its landscaping is very well maintained!
The whole time I was there, I was thinking about Casy and how much I wanted him to be there with me, especially because everything reminded me of Sardinia. And for as beautiful as everything was, I was so happy to be back home with him, our boys, and our own little house!
Love, T.
How beautiful! With a coastline like that, no doubt you will feel right at home in Scotland.
