Casy had his dinner in NYC on Tuesday night, parent teacher conferences on Wednesday night, and he found out about a training seminar that he's going to next week in Albany (Thursday and Friday). I'm actually feeling weird about being here alone, even though it hasn't been that long since I lived alone. I'm trying to pump myself up a bit (I can leave things on the floor for two days! I can watch as much Intervention and Supernanny as I want! I can make a box of Mac and Cheese and eat the whole thing by myself!) but the fact of the matter is that I'll miss him.
On Wednesday, my Aunt Jeannette had a heart attack. She's in good hands at Rahway hospital and we're planning on going to visit again tomorrow, but please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.
Last night I baked red velvet cupcakes with cinnamon cream cheese frosting. And oh. my. God. Casy and I split one (to make sure they were edible) and they were amazing. Casy said they were better than the ones at Magnolia, which is really beyond a compliment. What it really means is that I should quit my day job and open up a bakery.
These ones are for a bake sale at work to benefit Haiti. We had a small drive this week and just through raffles and donations we've raised over $2800. After today's bake sale, garage sales, and more donations/raffle money, we'll probably get past $3000 at least.
Tonight is pizza Friday, tomorrow we are going to Englishtown to visit their auction (flea) market (Casy is looking for a bookcase and I'm looking for knick knacks), then we'll stop by Rahway on our way home to visit Aunt Jeannette and to take her some flowers. On Sunday, we're meeting with our officiant...and we should go to the YMCA sometime this weekend...it might fit better on Sunday.
Anyway, since it's almost 6:30 and cloudy, how about some beauty? All of these images are from Rice and they make me so happy.
Enjoy your Fridays, enjoy your weekends, and we'll talk soon.
Love, T.
